Guardian Council should disqualify candidates for their thoughts

[Former IRGC chief commander Mohammad Ali Jafari asks the Guardian Council to disqualify candidates for their thoughts. This was seen as IRGC’s interference in elections.]

Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari: This is related to the heavy-duty of the Guardian Council. Unfortunately, I do not think they take a close look at [the candidates’] foundations of thought. It is essential to qualify or disqualify people for their thoughts. All countries do that. Right now, in America or all countries that are cradles of democracy, people’s thoughts must be consistent with their regimes’ general ideas.
