India continues to import oil from Iran

[Following the U.S. sanctions against Iran, the U.S. is pushing all countries to halt oil imports from Iran. Despite Trump’s efforts, government officials in India, the world’s third-biggest oil importer, and Iran’s top oil client after China, say that it would be difficult to fully halt supplies from Tehran.]  

 TV anchor: India has announced that despite U.S. sanctions, it will continue to purchase Iran’s oil by using Iranian oil tankers and insurance. After Iraq, Iran is the second provider of oil for India.
