Reporter: August 20. In the presence of the chief of IRGC, 10 Sukhoi-22 aircraft took off the ground. These aircrafts had been grounded for more than 20 years, and now they have been overhauled by powerful specialists of IRGC Aero-Space. But what is the story of these Sukhois? Iraq, 1990. Saddam stepped into his dark days. Gulf war and eventually No Fly Zone. Iraqi air force was not allowed to fly again since 1990. In January 1991, under the pressure of U.S. bombardment, Iraq was forced to send a significant number of its state-of-the-art fighter jets to the old enemy’s soil.
