Two European officials back trades with Iran

[Following U.S. sanctions against Iran, European countries are trying to find ways to help their companies to stay in Iranian market, while all big European companies have already left Iran!]

TV anchor: Austrian foreign minister said Europe is after compensating damages of companies working in Iran and finding ways for financial transactions. Karin Kneissl added that ‘we try to avoid a full confrontation with the U.S. in this regard’. According to Austrian foreign minister, U.S. sanctions will mainly impact European companies and will boost Chinese trades and economy. Germany’s Economy Ministry’s spokesperson, too, said members of EU consider themselves as committed to keeping open effective financial channels for Iran. She said, ‘we will fully support our companies, and insurance coverages still exist for Iranian market and German companies can use them’.
