[Reaction of Iran’s foreign ministry to a court sentence in New York, in which Iran was found liable for deaths in September 11 terrorist attacks and was ordered to pay over $6 billion in compensation to the families of more than 1,000 victims of the attacks.]
TV anchor: Iranian foreign ministry condemned the verdict of New York’s court against Iran. In response to a question about recent sentence issued by a court in New York accusing Iran of having connections with September 11 incidents, spokesperson of foreign ministry said that issuing this court ruling ridicules not only the international laws system, but also American people, particularly the survivors of victims of September 11. Mr. Ghassemi added that in their official reports, Americans admit that those who ordered and carried out this terrorist act were from the U.S. allies in the region. He emphasized that Iran reserves the right to follow up, effective confrontation and obtaining possible compensation.
