Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei

This footage from April 14, 2018, shows Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, during a meeting with a group of Iranian officials and envoys from various Muslim states. At this meeting, Khamenei condemned the joint airstrikes by the US, the UK, and France on Syrian regime targets – calling the strikes a “crime” and describing the leaders of those three Western countries as “criminals.”

He stated that the three countries will gain nothing from these types of actions, as they have all been in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan for many years committing such crimes, yet achieving nothing. Khamenei pointed to comments by US President Donald Trump, who had recently stated that America spent seven trillion dollars in the Middle East and still “got nothing.” Trump “is right,” Khamenei said. “They obtained nothing, and the US will not achieve anything in the future either – no matter how much money it spends.”

He further added that the three countries will gain nothing from these types of actions, as they have all been in Iraq, Syria, and Afghanistan for many years committing such crimes, yet achieving nothing.

In this short clip taken from his speech broadcast on Iranian regime TV, Khamenei said, “This attack at dawn on Syria last night is a crime. I do declare that the President of the United States, the President of France, and the British Prime Minister are criminals and have committed a crime here.”
