Western failure in JCPOA commitment resulted in mistrust!

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organisation, Ali Akbar Salehi

The head of Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization, Ali Akbar Salehi, said in a speech on Monday (April 9) that whilst Iran remains committed to adhering to international treaties, its partners, a clear reference to the USA, have failed to comply with the terms of the 2015 Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

Speaking at a ceremony held in Tehran to mark the 12th National Nuclear Technology Day, Salehi said, “Iran’s nuclear program and our nuclear deal with Western countries have shown our emphasis on our country’s adherence to international treaties and International obligations. It should be noted that after reaching the nuclear deal and starting the process of implementation of Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), in practice Iran has proven its commitment to its treaty and covenant. The International Atomic Energy Agency has announced ten times to date that Iran to this date has fully complied with the provisions of the Nuclear Convention of JCPOA. Of course, it is necessary to state this point that, unfortunately, to this day, some of the parties, despite explicitly agreed upon the terms of the nuclear deal regarding their acceptance of their obligations, these sides moving on the path of non-commitment toward their obligations to JCPOA, As a result, the mistrust between us persists.
