The Iranian regime’s elite Quds Force, Qassem Suleimani
Speaking at an event held to commemorate the tenth anniversary of former Hezbollah terrorist Imad Mughniyeh’s death or so-called “martyrdom” on Thursday February 15, 2008, the head of the Iranian regime’s elite Quds Force, Qassem Suleimani, vowed retribution against Israel in retaliation for Mughniyeh’s death, asserting that Iran would eradicate and dismantle the “Zionist entity”, the preferred regime term for Israel, calling the state a “child-killer.” He referred to Mughniyeh as Hajj Rezvan, the honorific conferred on him by the Iranian regime.
In this clip from Iranian state news, the newsreader presents Suleimani’s speech, saying, “Qassem Suleimani has promised to take retribution ten years after Hajj Rezvan’s martyrdom. On the anniversary of the martyrdom of Imad Mughniyah, known as Hajj Rezvan, one of Hezbollah’s commanders in Lebanon, Commander Soleimani spoke of God’s promise for revenge and retribution.”
There follows a clip of Soleimani’s speech, in which he says, “The Imam [Mughniyeh] will be avenged and all those who were martyred in Palestine and Lebanon, as well as in Iran and elsewhere who were martyred by the conspiracy of the Zionist regime will [also be avenged] through dismantling and eradicating this child-killer Zionist regime, as this matter is certain.”
