Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari, commander of IRGC
The head of the Iranian regime’s Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has labeled anti-regime protests as foreign-backed sedition, accusing the USA, Israel and Saudi Arabia of being behind the demonstrations across the country, as well as labeling the protesters as ISIS saboteurs sent to Iran by these powers to undermine Iran.
In this news bulletin from an Iranian state TV news channel, the news anchor says, “The Commander-in-Chief of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps [IRGC], has announced the defeat of the sedition of 96 [the current Iranian calendar year]. The Commander-in-Chief, Jafari, emphasizing the fact that enemies know that defensive and security threats against Islamic Iran are no longer getting a response, said, ‘We can say that today is the end of sedition of 96.’ He said that the power, patience, and insight of the people have always won a victory for Iran and Iranians. Major-General Jafari said that the Americans, the Zionists, and the Saudis had issued orders to ISIS to enter Iran, with some of their leading squads already entering the country to carry out explosions and sabotage operations. He emphasized that the criminal group is now under control. The commander of the Revolutionary Guards Corps added that we should appreciate the goodness and resistance of the faithful and insightful people of Islamic Iran who, despite all the problems, have judiciously separated themselves from the rioters.”
