This bulletin from Iranian state TV reports the appointment of new military heads by Khamenei, the country’s supreme leader and military Commander-in-Chief.
The news anchor says, “In separate edicts, Khamenei, the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Armed Forces, has appointed Brigadier-General Mohammad-Hussein Dadras as the successor to the Army’s former Commander-in-Chief; also the Naval Commander, Habibollah Sayyari, was appointed as Coordinating Deputy of the Army and the Navy Commander Hussein Khanzadi was appointed as Commander of Iran’s Navy.”
The following is the full text of the edict appointing Brig. Gen. Dadras as the new army Commander-in-Chief:
In the Name of God, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Brigadier General Mohammad-Hussain Dadras,
At the suggestion of Iran’s Army Commander, considering your commitment and valuable experiences, I appoint you as Successor to the Commander-in-Chief of Iran’s Army.
