This Iranian state TV news report cites a speech by the Commander-in-Chief of Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) in which he brags of the unspecified “humiliating defeats” inflicted on the USA by Iran’s regime, warning that the regime is preparing to react to President Trump’s recent speech at the UN General Assembly with “more painful responses” in the coming months.
The Iranian news anchor introduces the report, saying, “After the accusations made by Trump against Iran at the United Nations General Assembly, the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC said that it’s time to correct the miscalculations of America. Sardar Jafari added that ‘In Trump’s words, these were not new things, but the United States showed its true face to the world.’ (22”)
The Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC continued, saying, ‘Today the world sees the same image of the United States that Iran has been trying to reveal for many years. And in fact, these accusations by America are apt to describe its corrupt and bullying government.’
Sardar Jafari added, ‘With the consecutive humiliating defeats which America suffered at Iran’s hands, especially in the Middle East region, it is natural that their nervous system and their intellectual integrity are disrupted.’
Major-General Jafari emphasized that Iran’s decisive stance against Trump is still in its initial stages, but there is a plan to ensure that America will witness more painful responses in the coming months in both actions and behavior following decisions which Iran is set to make within the next few months.”
