[Spokesperson of Parliament’s Judiciary Commission criticizes Iran’s judiciary for not putting legislation of the Parliament regarding assets of the high-ranking officials into effect, 2 years after passing of the legislation.]
Reporter says: Spokesperson of Parliament’s Judiciary Commission criticized the judiciary system as to why the ratified legislation of the Parliament regarding assets of the high-ranking officials of the regime, which was ratified 2 years ago, has not been put into effect yet.
Noruzi (Spokesperson of Parliament’s Judiciary Commission) asserts: My question is why the judiciary branch has not written the regulation and why hasn’t put this law into effect which can be the solution to problems. And we seriously believe that the number of cases will be reduced. This legislation says all assets of high-ranking officials and authorities must be audited, including the governors and their deputies, city councils, mayors, chiefs of police stations, heads of regions, those who hold the military ranks of brigadier-general and up, ambassadors, charge d’affaires, judges, heads of justice departments, heads of treasury departments, general managers. Why isn’t this legislation put into effect?
