[An IRIB report about exhibition of Iran’s border guards police.]
Reporter: Today, Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces was the guest of Commander of Border Guards of Army of Islamic Republic. The first program was paying respect to martyrs of border guards, and the next program of Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces was to visit an exhibition of capabilities of Border Guards of Army of Islamic Republic.
Reporter: In this exhibition, the latest productions and achievements for controlling the borders were unveiled.
–This is an anti-sniper system, called interceptor. It is completely built in Iran. And up to 1,500 meters, it can detect a sniper, and give all the coordinations. It can even give the type of caliber, coordination, range, and all data.
–These are run-flats and belong to tires. They make tires bullet proof. And it can help the vehicle to get out of the dangerous places for up to 50 kilometers.
Reporter: In continuation, Chief of General Staff of Armed Forces first took part in a meeting of commanders of Border Guards of Army of Islamic Republic, and then became talked to the reporters.
Brigadier-General Bagheri: There were general discussions about boosting the border guards. And with the decisions that were made, there will be quantitative and qualitative changes in guarding the borders of the Islamic Republic of Iran fast enough. It was necessary to decide about permanent human resources and conscripts, issues related to laws and regulations, issues related to infrastructures, facilities, and buildings, as well as about equipment, weaponries, and ammunitions. Various aspects were discussed and necessary decisions were made.
