[Khamenei is talking about being at a soft war, and what it means.]
KHAMENEI says he is at a war: One of the gentlemen recited a poem, which said if “you draw your sword, there are people who will confront you fiercely”. To stand against the enemy. And I said I have drawn this sword. We have drawn our swords. And we are busy fighting left and right.
KHAMENEI describes the soft war: But today the kind of sword and the kind of battlefield is different from those of the early years. We are at soft war. We are at a political war. We are at a cultural war. We are at a security war. Ideas and wills are fighting with each other. Today we very much need influential tools and instruments, and a major part of it is, in my opinion, poetry.
