[A brief report on Ebrahim Raisi, hardliner’s candidate in the upcoming presidential election.]
–Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi went to Mashhad seminary, after 6th grade (primary school).
–After the revolution, at the age of 18, he was appointed as assistant prosecutor in Karaj Prosecution Office, and started interrogating the opponents.
–In 1980, he was appointed as Karaj’s prosecutor.
–From 1981 to 1988, he was rapidly promoted in the judiciary system.
–In the summer of 1988, he signed the death and execution sentence of thousands of prisoners as Tehran deputy prosecutor. One of those involved in 1988 executions.
–He insisted on executing the prisoners more than other members of “death delegation.”
–Ayatollah Montazeri on 15 August 1988 addressing death delegation:
Ayatollah Montazer: “In my opinion, the biggest crime that has been committed in the Islamic Republic and for which history will condemn us is committed by you.”
–In Autumn of 1988, he was assigned to deal with ordinary crimes. Meanwhile, he issued maximum sentences for ordinary crimes: hand amputation, stoning, and throwing [people] down from heights
