Joint naval exercise of Iran and Oman

Reporter says: Iranian naval flotilla was dispatched to Oman for holding a joint sea rescue and relief exercise with naval forces of this country.

Navy Officer explains the purpose of the exercise: To preserve and promote security, and to preserve and promote safety of work at sea, every two years there is a joint sea exercise, between strategic naval forces of Islamic Republic of Iran and neighboring Muslim country of Oman for relief, safety, and rescue in sea particularly southern sea and northern Indian Ocean. This year Oman is hosting the event.

He describes what the flotilla consists of: Iranian Sabalan Destroyer, Lavan logistic warship, a helicopter and Paykan missile boat, along with 1000 participant forces, are dispatched to the sea to take part in this sea rescue and relief exercise.
