Rouhani: Why aren’t the elders of the country, writers, newspapers, IRIB… why aren’t you telling the truth to the people?

Narrator: I wanted to see what the people think about the economic reality.

–Unemployment

–Business becomes worse every day.

–People’s purchasing power has decreased in the market.

–Our youth are burnt generation… they are all jobless.

–Inflation

–Prices go up day by day.

–Decline in the market

–Soaring inflation…these are realities of our society. There is no other reality!

–What is shown in statistics is not true. Really.

–Why isn’t Mr. President himself telling the truth?

–From 4 am, I am sitting behind the wheel until 9pm…10pm. We are working back to back but still, cannot pay the rent and expenses.

–Our economic condition is terrible!

–It is terrible!

–Again inflation is being accumulated. When we go to lower layers, we can see that it is probably not the same as upper layers…it is not that stable and firm.

–We are not satisfied. Economic condition is awful.

The Economic condition is obvious. People’s condition…decline in the market. It is obvious that economic condition is awful!

–Our income and expenses are not compatible!

–Everybody is working hard. They all work hard and get nothing [in return].

–Look at the shops! Is there anybody in them but the shopkeepers?

–People are struggling for their daily lives. All companies are doing contract works. All companies have problems. Everything is convoluted.

–Purchasing power is very low.

–I have three adult sons. All three of them are jobless, they don’t have any jobs.

–After sanctions… they talk about sanctions…but sanctions have remained in their places.
